Summertime Bridal Shower Luncheon

Better Together by Jack Johnson was playing through the speakers as guests entered into the backyard for Kristine’s bridal shower luncheon. Our ivory linens were draped over each table along with our champagne shantung napkins knotted at each place setting. White and toffee roses, hot pink bunny tails, bleached palm leaves, and pink carnations were arranged together as centerpieces surrounded by quartz crystal clusters creating a fun and feminine setup. Knotted candles sat atop leather coasters on everyone’s plates as a take home party favor with a note reading, “thanks a lot for helping me tie the knot” and gold flatware completed each tablescape.

A build your own mimosa bar was the main attraction as guests entered the bridal shower. Orange juice, guava juice and lavender lemonade were the mixers and guests used clothing pins to attach a sprig of baby’s breath to the rim of their cup. A ‘Kristini’ bar displayed an assortment of delicious toasts as hors d’oeuvres before lunch and everyone mixed and mingled then took their seats for some games. Laughs were shared while the first game of true or false was played, then lunch was served. Mozzarella, Tomato, and Pesto Focaccia Sandwiches, Turkey Focaccia Sandwiches, Summer in Tuscany Pasta Salad, and Tangerine Pecan Salad filled guest’s plates while games continued. The main event was the toilet paper dress challenge. Groups of 4-5 formed and each group had to design a dress made out of toilet paper that they thought the bride would like. Each team unveiled their unique designs and the bride chose the final prize winners. The bridal shower concluded with an assortment of Kristine’s favorite desserts individually displayed for guests to grab and enjoy.
